A woman suffering from dissociative fugue and memory loss vanishes from her home and spends two years living under the assumed identity of "Alicja." After being recognized on a television broadcast, she is brought back to the family home she has no recollection of choosing. Unwillingly thrust into resuming her roles as a wife and mother, she struggles to reconcile her newly forged independence with an estranged husband and young son who feel like complete strangers.
