Set in a luxury high-rise apartment building, the series explores the lives of six resident women who feel trapped in emotionally unfulfilling, suffocating, or abusive marriages. The central story follows Sakura (Ryoko Shinohara), who appears to lead a glamorous life co-running a hair salon with her successful husband, Takuya (Masanobu Ando). In reality, Takuya subjects her to physical abuse, emotional control, and overt infidelity while keeping her financially dependent. When Sakura purchases a goldfish at a local shop, she forms a deep bond with the compassionate shop owner, Haruto (Takanori Iwata). Across the building, five other wives navigate their own marital crises—ranging from domestic neglect and loss of passion to cuckolding fantasies—leading each woman to cross the line into extramarital affairs.
