Directed by Lucie Borleteau, this French romantic drama follows Alice, a 30-year-old marine engineer who leaves her devoted, stable boyfriend Felix waiting for her ashore as she joins the crew of an old freighter ship named Fidelio. As one of the only women on the male-dominated vessel, Alice takes over the duties of a crewman who recently died. Her structured working life at sea is heavily destabilized when she discovers that the ship's captain is Gaël, her first major, passionate love. Confined together on the open water, Alice finds her loyalty to Felix deeply tested as she balances the harsh mechanics of her job with an explosive reigniting of her past romance.
