Elizabeth (Traci Lords) is a sexually repressed former corporate worker struggling to make it as a journalist while her marriage to her husband, Eric (Jack Kerrigan), suffers under financial strain. Her magazine editor and mentor, Griffin (Jeff Fahey), pushes her to write with real passion by exploring her own desires. Elizabeth meets Ann (María Díaz), a woman who claims to be in a liberated open marriage. Intrigued, Elizabeth decides to write a story about Ann's sex life. However, when Ann is murdered during an affair, Elizabeth steps into her deceased friend's shoes to investigate, tracking down Ann's lover, Bob (Brian Bloom), and becoming entangled in a dangerous web of deceit and seduction.
