When her teenage daughter Marisa (Victoria Abril) attempts suicide, Luisa (Concha Velasco) sits in the hospital clinic reflecting on the breakdown of her marriage to Pedro (Ramiro Oliveros), a charismatic sports journalist. Though their marriage began happily, Pedro's repeated extramarital affairs fractured their relationship, prompting Luisa to seek independence and enter into extramarital liaisons of her own.
