Panos (Prometheus Aleifer), an idealistic city doctor, relocates to a secluded, superstitious mountain village in rural Greece to serve as the local physician. While exploring the surrounding dense forest, he encounters Danae (Anastasia Rafaella Konidi), an enigmatic young woman living in isolation in an old cabin, afflicted with a rare skin condition resembling tree bark. Captivated by her, Panos attempts to diagnose and cure her condition, eventually initiating a passionate romantic relationship. However, Panos soon discovers that Danae is not merely a sick human, but an ancient dryad (tree spirit) tied directly to the forest. As supernatural forces tighten their grip, Panos finds himself physically and spiritually bound to the land, realizing too late that his attempts to "save" her carry irreversible, life-altering consequences.
