En Gång Om Året is a 2012 Swedish drama directed by Gorki Glaser-Müller in which Maria and Mikael — both married to other people — have been secretly meeting once a year in different hotel rooms for thirty years, living out their passion for each other in a private world where reality doesn't exist and no demands are made, but this year something has shifted in both their lives, and as real emotions and outside circumstances begin seeping through the walls of their ritual, the two must finally confront whether what they have is love worth fighting for or a comfortable lie they've been telling themselves for decades.
