En Förälskelse is a 2001 Swedish drama directed by Mats Arehn in which Simon and his wife Anna relocate to Eskilstuna with their youngest son Gunnar — and within days of arriving, Simon meets Ingrid, a married woman, and the two fall into a passionate affair. The affair is quickly discovered, destroying both marriages simultaneously — Anna moves back to Stockholm to their eldest son Bill, while Ingrid is thrown out of her home by her husband Kurre. Kurre later dies in a car accident while driving to confront the two at Simon's summer cottage, leaving Ingrid to return home and take care of their children alone.
