Aku (Eppu Pastinen) has just graduated from high school, but his life feels entirely stagnant. His girlfriend has left for the summer, his friends are busy or moving on, and his future plans are completely blank. Everything changes when he meets Elsa (Lina Turkama), a chaotic, spontaneous, and fiercely independent older woman who is hitchhiking. Desperate for a distraction, Aku agrees to drive her across Finland. As they journey through lakes, small towns, and summer cottages, Elsa introduces the conservative Aku to a world of reckless freedom, leading to a passionate but volatile summer romance that forces him to confront his own fears of growing up.
