Irène (Clara Ponsot), a fragile and emotionally unstable young single mother recovering from personal hardship, travels to La Rochelle during the summer holidays with a clear goal: to reconnect with her young son, Émile (Noah Benzaquen), who lives with his grandmother Nicole (Hélène Vincent). While trying to stabilize her life and rebuild her maternal relationship, Irène unexpectedly meets Yann (Nicolas Giraud), a reserved sailor waiting for his ship at the local port.
