In a remote rural village, Siu-yuk (Lily Chung) is married to Wai (Cheng To-chuen), a timid man who is physically impotent. Desperate to continue the family lineage and produce an heir, Siu-yuk's abusive father-in-law, Ging-fat (William Ho), hatches a sinister scheme to "borrow seed" by coercing and forcing Siu-yuk into sexual encounters with local men. The situation devolves into escalating physical abuse, degradation, and torment within the household. Driven to extreme psychological distress and revenge, Siu-yuk takes lethal matters into her own hands, culminating in a violent double homicide that draws the attention of Police Officer Cheung (Anthony Wong).
