Janet (Georgina Verbaan), an awkward and self-conscious Dutch teenager, travels to the Spanish coastal resort town of Salou on holiday with her self-absorbed sister Angela and two friends. Cast aside by the group, Janet wanders into the bustling nightclub Costa!, where she catches the eye of lead promoter and dancer Rens (Daan Schuurmans). When the club's star female dancer, Frida (Katja Schuurman), injures her foot right before a high-stakes televised dance competition against rival club The Empire, Rens recruits Janet to step in as her replacement. As they rehearse, Janet grows in confidence and a romance blooms between her and Rens amid summer party chaos.
