Laurine (Shanen Ricci), a glamourous 19-year-old woman, arrives on high heels at the small island of Île de Bréhat to spend the summer with her boyfriend, Olivier (Sébastien François). Olivier is vacationing there with his family and cousins as he does every year. Laurine's glamorous appearance and distinct working-class style stand in stark contrast to the conservative, insular bourgeois environment of the island community. As the summer progresses, Laurine becomes the target of mockery from some and lust from others, causing tension in her relationship with Olivier and forcing her to navigate class prejudice, casual sexism, and social judgment.
