Børge (Søren Strømberg), a handsome sunlamp salesman, finds his marriage strained when his wife, Gerda (Anne Bie Warburg), becomes overwhelmed by his increasingly adventurous sexual appetite and leaves him to stay with her mother. Reverting to bachelorhood, Børge eagerly embraces his freedom and engages in a series of casual sexual encounters with various women who visit his apartment under the guise of comforting him.
