While on vacation in Romania, Alex (Yannick Rosset) is hit by a car and rushed to the hospital, where he undergoes an emergency blood transfusion. Upon returning home with his girlfriend Livia (Jasna Kohoutova), Alex begins experiencing distressing physical transformations—photosensitivity, insomnia, an inability to process regular food, and a growing craving for human blood. Realizing he was infected with vampirism via the contaminated blood transfusion, Livia stands by him and goes to extreme lengths to protect and feed him, even as his condition rapidly deteriorates and unleashes violent, instinctual behavior.
