Set between Lisbon and Paris during the transition from the 19th to the 20th century, the narrative follows the intense, intimate bond between playwright Lúcio (Ângelo Rodrigues) and enigmatic poet Ricardo (Romeu Costa). Their intellectual friendship and close dynamic are disrupted when Marta (Joana Barradas), a mysterious woman, enters their lives. Serving as a muse and catalyst for desire, attraction, and obsession, Marta draws both men into an escalating love triangle that transgresses conservative bourgeois norms and blurs the lines between reality, artistic creation, and madness.
