Capadocia is a Mexican HBO Latin America drama series set inside an experimental women's prison in Mexico City, where three central stories intertwine — Teresa Lagos, the idealistic prison governor fighting for inmates' rights against the corrupt corporate machinery running the facility; Federico Márquez, the ECSO representative exploiting prisoners as cheap labor under the cover of a rehabilitation program; and Lorena, a seemingly perfect upper-class housewife and mother who ends up behind bars after killing her best friend upon catching her having sex with her own husband. Outside the prison walls, Teresa carries on an affair with her student Daniel — but when she doesn't reciprocate his feelings, he retaliates by dating her own daughter Andrea, who genuinely falls for him, creating a deeply personal love triangle that cuts straight through Teresa's family.
