Set in Stockholm against the backdrop of the 1976 Swedish general election, delinquent 14-year-old Iris (Sofia Karemyr) is placed in a juvenile home where she connects with fellow resident Sonja (Josefin Asplund). The girls frequently slip away into the city's night life, where they are recruited by Dagmar Glans (Pernilla August), a high-class brothel madam. Dagmar operates an illicit call-girl ring catering to powerful figures in business and politics, including senior government officials. As young vice detective John Sandberg (Simon J. Berger) begins uncovering the ring, his investigation exposes deep institutional corruption, forcing the political elite to cover up the scandal at all costs.
