Eve (Anne Coesens) and Damien (Sagamore Stévenin) are deeply in love and run a small countryside tavern where they host unusual local events. After Eve survives a traumatic car accident, she escapes without physical injuries but develops a severe emotional shock that causes psychological mutism and a debilitating speech impediment. As communication between them breaks down, an emotional gulf grows, driving Damien away and into an affair with another woman. Desperate not to lose him, Eve takes drastic measures by trapping Damien inside their home, holding him hostage to forcefully rebuild their relationship from scratch.
