Brand (Josef Bierbichler), an aging, cynical author suffering from severe writer's block, lives with his terminally ill wife, Martha (Erika Deutinger). When a dedicated palliative nurse named Angela Caymaz (Angela Gregovic) is hired to care for Martha, Brand falls into an intense, clandestine obsession with her. Brand begins a secretive extramarital affair with Angela behind his dying wife's back. However, Angela is married to Celik Caymaz (Denis Moschitto), a dangerous and vindictive man. As the affair deepens, Brand becomes caught in a destructive web involving Angela's jealous husband, police investigation, and his own moral decay, culminating in violence and fatal consequences.
