The film follows Iván, a young man living in Monterrey who is drifting through a series of shallow sexual encounters and empty social hangouts. The "story" is that he is looking for some kind of intimacy but can't actually commit to anyone. He bounces between several people—including a woman named Mariana and a few different men—but every time things get close or "real," the connection falls apart or he just moves on to the next person.
