Anna (Gry Bay) is an independent young costume designer living in Copenhagen who maintains a casual sex life while strictly guarding herself against emotional commitment—a defense mechanism developed after being heartbroken five years prior by her ex-boyfriend Johan (Adrian Bouchet / Mark Stevens). Though she maintains a non-committal sexual arrangement with Frank (Thomas Raft), Anna rejects his desire to move in together. When Johan suddenly re-enters her life, Anna yields to a brief sexual reunion before losing his contact information. Moving to Paris to work on a theater production, she finds herself courted by her colleagues Pierre (Morten Schelbech) and Sophie (Ovidie), but remains emotionally anchored to her unresolved feelings for Johan, ultimately returning home to confront her fears of intimacy.
