Former high-school sweethearts Leah (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Paul (Hayes MacArthur) reunite for a luxurious weekend getaway at a rented Malibu beach house. Though they present the appearance of a deeply smitten couple, both are legally married to other spouses (Carrie and David) and deceiving their families into believing they are away on business trips. Having agreed that this Malibu trip will mark the absolute end of their long-running affair, tensions surface as Paul tries to convince Leah to leave her husband and run away with him.
